What is Reward Explorer?
Reward Explorer! is a mobile app that enables consumers to maximize their savings at checkout based on their existing membership benefit and reward programs.
- Save money! Realize savings from existing memberships at the time of purchase
- Keep track of membership loyalty programs in a digital wallet
- Learn about other relevant reward programs

How is it different from the thousands of coupon sites and apps out there?
Unlike Groupon and the myriad of clones, Reward Explorer is not a loss leading tool, but a tool to help consumers save money at the time of purchase by realizing their eligible membership discounts and rewards. Make your membership more valuable and attractive by exposing your benefits to both members and prospective members.
Reward Explorer will initially be available as a mobile app and later expand to a web browser plugin to also assist consumers with their online purchases. Further, the Reward Explorer information will be made available through a Web Services API for other mobile app vendors to use.
How do I get started?
First, if you haven’t already, download Reward Explorer from the iTunes store. From there, you can:
- Add your memberships (Costco, AAA, etc.)
- Check nearby locations for deals related to your reward cards
- Register
How do I find my membership program?
Easy! Click on the Memberships tab on the bottom navigation bar. On the All Memberships tab you’ll see a list of businesses. You can start typing to search (auto-complete will filter the results) or click on the alphabet to the right to jump to that section. Once you find your card, enter your membership number (if applicable - note that we don’t store credit card details) and it’s saved!
The next time you go to a store, you’ll see the perks associated with your membership!


How do I add my membership program if it’s not in your list?
We’ve already added tons of membership programs with focus on the SF Bay Area. Let us know if we missed one of yours! In the meantime, from the All Memberships screen, click on the yellow bar “Add Unlisted Memberships” to enter all the information manually. We’ll review that entry the next time you sync, and if it’s a program that more of our users will find useful, we’ll be sure to add it to the database. You’ll still see it in your phone even if we don’t add it to the list right away.

How do I add a store?
If you don’t see the store you are in or looking for in the Nearby listing, send us an email. We have a vast database of local businesses, but as you can imagine, there are frequent changes and sometimes we miss something. Just let us know and we’ll add it for you immediately!
What do I do if I see a perk that’s invalid or expired?
Click on "Not Valid Here" to report the perk. You can also edit the perk details.

What do I do if I don’t see one of my membership perks listed?
On the Store page, click the "New Perk" button top right and fill in the details.

Can I scan my membership barcode into my profile?
Great idea! We tried this out ourselves but found that the barcode readers were having difficulties reading the iphone screen. We’ll keep investigating for a future release though!
Hey - this is cool! How do I share it?
We knew you’d love it! First, we need you to register and login so we know who to add in the From field of the email (your friends and family are 1000x more likely to open the email if they see it’s from you - ok, so that’s a made-up stat … your name and email is still better than a “someone@” don’t you think??). Once logged in, click on Extras from the bottom toolbar, then on Help Your Friends Save.
Can I share one of my memberships with a family member?
Yep! Find the membership in your list, open it up and you’ll see a button labeled "Share".

How do I know you aren’t going to spam me?
Because we promise we won't! Part of our team has been actively fighting spam for the last 10 years - we hate spam and spammers with a passion!

Really? Bummer, but no doubt the retail world thanks you! Just un-install as you do any any other iPhone app. Can you give us some idea of why you don’t like it, or it doesn’t work for you before you leave? Send it to us here, and thanks for giving it a run!
